After the result of a poll of nearly 40,000 people which end in 3 December 2011 at UEFA.com, the UEFA Euro 2012 mascots will be called Slavek and Slavko. Slavek and Slavko received 56% of the votes. The mascots was announced in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.

Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) counterpart Grigoriy Surkis said that "The mascots represent the joint effort and commitment of both countries and their football associations to organise a successful EURO 2012. We share the same ideas and we are looking forward to the fun of the tournament. The only thing that separates the mascots is that each of them will support a different team."

Slavek wears the red and white of Poland. Slavko wears the yellow and blue of Ukraine. Their hair also use that national colors. With each having a ball at their feet, show that their favorite sport unites them.
