Won every Euro 2012 qualification match makes Germany has the best match record than any other team. Germany were the first to book their place in Euro 2012. Although there were many changes between the squad that featured in the qualification match, but one thing was consistent: Germany were dominant. Euro 2012 is their 11th appearances including when they as West Germany. They seeded in Group B, were drawn with Netherlands, Denmark and Portugal. Germany is the most successful national team in the history of the European Championships with 3 trophies in 1972, 1980, and 1996. Germany National Football Team has a nickname "Die Mannschaft" (The Team).

Lahm took over captain's armband from Michael Ballack in 2010 under some controversy. Consistency of top level performance shown by Ozil made him alwasy be Low's regular squad.

Mario Gotze born in Memmingen, Germany, at June 3, 1992 (age 19). He is German National Football Team rising star player and part of Bundesliga League-winning with Borussia Dortmund in 2011. Gotze has 12 caps and 2 goals for his country. Gotze is a player with immense natural technique, sharp mind for the game and a quick turn of pace. With his ability to play left, right, and centre, he will surely have his chances, even if only as a substitute.
