The city of Wieliczka lies in the south central part of Poland in the Krakow area. Under the town is the Wieliczka Salt Mine – one of the world's oldest operating salt mines (the oldest is at Bochnia, Poland, 20 km (12 mi) from Wieliczka), which has been in operation since prehistoric times. The historic building Turowka Hotel & SPA in Wieliczka will celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2012. The hotel is located in immediate neighbourhood of the Salt Mine in Wieliczka, entered by UNESCO on the list of world cultural and natural heritage. The hotel has a four-star standard and is very much different from typical network hotels. The Italian team will have at their disposal 53 rooms in elegant classicist style guaranteeing cosy and comfortable stay. Additionally, the football players will be able to relax in a well equipped SPA which offers a number of recreational and health treatment, offering a relaxation part: Finnish sauna, Roman baths with hydro massage, Jacuzzi and a salt-iodine cave.

The Municipal Stadium where the Italian team will train, has been existing since 1912 and used by the Sports Club Cracovia (the team today operates the stadium). The stadium has been completely modernised also for the needs of a Base Camp for UEFA EURO 2012TM. It meets the criteria of UEFA third category. The roofed stands can accommodate over 15 000 fans. The spacious player zone provides excellent conditions for players both before and after matches. They will have access to excellently equipped room for warming up, massage room and a recreation centre.
