Sopot is a seaside town in Eastern Pomerania on the southern coast of the Baltic Sea in northern Poland. Sopot is a major health-spa and tourist resort destination. The Sheraton Sopot Hotel where Ireland’s national football team will stay is located directly by the beach, close to the famous pier in Sopot. The hotel offers 189 guest rooms, a SPA centre, a restaurant and bar and a conference centre.

The Irish players will be getting ready to their matches with Croatia, Spain and Italy at the Municipal Stadium in Gdynia. The arena can accommodate over 15,000 fans and it is a sports landmark of the city. Arka Gdynia, a local football team regularly plays its matches at the stadium. The stadium meets the UEFA third category criteria. It is maintained in a very high standard – a heated and watered turf, with a dimension of 105 m x 68 m and full automatic lighting.
