Donetsk is a large city in eastern Ukraine who are on the side of the river Kalmius. The city was founded in 1869 by a steel and mining entrepreneurs from Wales John Hughes. UNESCO recognized Donetsk as the industry's cleanest city in the world. Kirsha Training Facility is Shakhtar Donetsk FC’s former training facilities since 1953. The area is about 2300 m2 and it boasts comfortable one and two bed rooms, canteen, gymnasium, consulting room, fully equipped offices of the Medical department which includes physiotherapy complex, treatment rooms, recovery centre with swimming pool and steamroom.

| Kirsha Training Facility |
The Kirsha Training Centre covers an area of 106.2 acres (0.430 km2). In all, there are nine full-size pitches at the site. Eight are natural grass pitches, and one is made of artificial turf. All of the pitches are illuminated, and three have undersoil heating. The rehabilitation centre consists of medical offices, treatment rooms, a swimming pool, steamroom, gymnasium, IT room, cinema, indoor garden, and a conference hall.
