Opalenica is a town in Nowy Tomysl County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland. There was a narrow-gauge railway in Opalenica but it closed and was then dismantled to make way for a motorway that was going to cross the line further away from the town so there was no point in keeping the track in place because there was not going to be any chance of anyone reopening the railway line once the route was blocked by the motorway embankment. The facility of four-star Remes Sport & Spa hotel is comprised of a modern SPA & Wellness centre, a professional conference centre, a restaurant and a swimming pool. The players will have access to 54 rooms and 4 suites, all decorated in a contemporary style.

Besides using Municipal Stadium Opalenica, The Portuguese national team will have access to training pitches adjacent to the hotel, a recreation centre and a gym. The pitches are located at the site of the Remes hotel. A training hill, run-up tracks and a wall to practice accurate shots have been prepared especially for the football players. The facility further comprises: a sports hall, stadium, tennis courts and an 8-hole golf field. This is the largest training and sports centre for professional teams in Central Europe.
